The O'Neill will give you unparalleled experience in the development of new theatrical work in all of its diversity. As you consider becoming a part of our team, please take the time to familiarize yourself with our programs. Summer Staff Positions & InternshipsEvery summer the O'Neill campus hums with creative energy. Actors, directors, playwrights, puppeteers, musicians, dramaturgs, designers and critics from across the world come to the O'Neill to immerse themselves in collaborative and supportive environment. Our summer staff and interns are the heart and muscle that ensure a successful summer for all. We encourage you to become a part of our community, as we hope to become a vital part of yours. Listed below are several ways to be involved, but don't limit yourself to these. If you have a skill that you think may be useful to us, let us know. There is no limit to how you can help the O'Neill, so please use your imagination! Docents - The O'Neill also owns and operates the Monte Cristo Cottage, Eugene O'Neill's childhood home, located in New London, CT. Now a National Historic Landmark, we rely on new and returning docents to guide tourists, school groups, and scholars through this jewel of American literary history. Docents are asked to commit to a consistent number of hours per month and to attend one training session. Click here to learn more about the Monte Cristo Cottage. General Volunteering - We regularly need assistance with our administrative duties or special event activities. There is no determined schedule for these opportunities, but we will be happy to put your name on our call list.
